The premier event for women’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is back with the Intel Challenge at IEM Katowice 2019! For the fifth year in a row, we are excited to support ESL and Intel in this partnership tournament effort to showcase the talents of the most well-established women’s scene in esports. The tournament will take place February 28th – March 2nd, and the teams will be vying for their share of the $50,000 prize pool.
The full press release can be seen on ESLgaming.com , but we’re excited to highlight that the 2018 Intel Challenge Champions and AnyKey Affiliate, Dignitas (NA), have received a direct invitation to this year’s competition. The remaining seven spots will be filled through regional qualifiers: four from the EU, one from Asia, one from South America, and one more from North America.
Some of the best-known players in women’s esports will play on stage for this competition. We expect to see past champions and tournament regulars coming together in new team configurations to test their mettle against the proven Dignitas team.
Even if you can’t make it to the Spodek Arena in Katowice, be sure to watch the online streams! We will be bringing the AnyKey support full-force to celebrate these role models with the next generation of aspiring pro players.
Stay tuned for more details about the upcoming qualifiers.
